I installed mysql workbench in Windows7 32 bit machine. I imported a dump tables from another machine, the import process completes successfully as mysql shows. But, I can not see the tables, even after refresh all. Not only the tables that I import, even the tables in the test database (that comes by default) or any previously created tables. From the home screen, click the new MySQL connection to open the SQL editor for this connection. The SQL editor is the default page. Click Server Status from the Navigator area of the sidebar to display the current status of the connected MySQL server instance (see the figure that follows). MySQL Workbench divides the options file into its own groupings as a set of tabs (such as General, Logging, InnoDB, and so on). Make an edit and click Apply to commit the changes. That is, until I restart Workbench, and then it shows up. I tried creating a new table using the GUI, that is, right-click on 'Tables' in the Navigator and then creating a new table, and that works as expected and the new table is visible in the Navigator. Is this a bug in MySQL Workbench or am I doing something wrong? Figure 6.9 Navigator Administration: System Variables Persist System Variables Beginning with MySQL Workbench 8.0.11, you can set one or more global system variables to persist across server restarts.
I'm not sure I understand your question correctly. Do you say that, after you openend an SQL IDE session you only see the editor tabs and (perhaps) the right pane with context help and snippets, but not the left hand sidebar with the schema tree, object info and admin navigator? And you have enabled it via the left of the 3 buttons in the upper right corner?
